I have not been to Drummund but I have fished Les Cheneaux quite a bit. I assume it is similar as the waters are technically Lake Huron. Smallmouth and pike were the fish of choice for me. Cormorants have done a number on Smallmouth populations. Last time I fished Les Cheneaux (2 years ago) it was mid june and we caught many smallmouth all over 18 inches. There were pretty good numbers for the size but what was scary was that we caught nothing smaller. I'm afraid the birds have been hungry. Good luck

Fished Drummond island about 8 years ago. having said that times have changed I'm sure. however we did have a good time. If you end up going don't forget Munuscong bay excelent for shallow water walleye and muskie!!
Les Cheneaux islands brought me back to my child hood fishing for pike with minnows and a bobber.
