for the past couple of years i have been experimenting with filming my hunts with my sony 8mm while deer hunting. most of the time i am in a fixed blind with a tripod. most of the hunting i do alone and try to limit my movements but still get busted by deer. this year i want to try on turkeys but you all know how their eyes are. does anyone have any suggestions on getting the shot on film short of setting up another person with a camera?

I was looking at purchasing one of these "Hunt Cams". It attached to the bill of your hat. I have never used it, however it looks like a neat product. Hands free. Good Luck.

Well the best way I found to get good movies of Deer and Turkeys while hunting is taking my wife to do the filming. Last year we got some terrific movies of turkeys with all the sounds of them gobbling while running around in the decoys. Then a big Tom and bearded Hen came to the call, shot the Tom and the Hen ran for cover. Good movies. :) :) :)

it must be nice to have a wife to do your filming... mine doesnt even want me to do the hunting. strange thing that having kids does to a woman all of a sudden she wants you around more

No I do not, I've seen a few commercials about the camera and I thought that it looked ideal for someone hunting alone.
