Thurs. 2/9, an OK day.

First I want to start with some props to Anglers and Archers. I stopped in there for the first time this morning to get minnows. The dark haired guy working the counter looked like he was later 30's, early 40's. He kept calling me sir. Excellent minnow count! Probably the best I've seen. And they were the beautiful blue and black back shiners. I will definately be going back alot. Ended up fishing 1/2 mile north of Cotton rd, anywhere from 500 to 1000 yards off shore. Had Ed Stringer, SalmonSlammer, Yellowbelly80, and Iron Dan all out there about 100 yards in each direction. Man that radio came in handy. We kept constant contact and kept shifting each other onto the schools. I brought home 20 myself. All between 8 and 10 inches. Threw back that many X 2 of 6's and 7's. Slammer and Yellowbelly had some fish too. They had some jumbies. Stringer and his buddy had a 14 and a 1/2 inch Perch. Nice fish. I guess that cheered your buddy up a bit after having a rod pulled down the hole eh Stringer? From what I could tell, looked like everyone was catching fish and taking home some keepers. Not a ton, didn't see limits or stuff like that, but enough for a dinner or two. The nicer fish are still tight lipped. The 9's and 10's I got I had to be tricky. They would come in and look at the minnow, wouldn't touch it. As soon as I slowly lowered the minnow down onto the bottom, they would follow it down and inhale it off the floor. Some did, most are still finicky. Later.

Sounds like a fun day I'm getting ready to take up ice fishing again ;) Almost ..Hmmm I wonder what the weather Friday will bel like :evil:

it was fun i havent spent 12 hrs on the ice in my life but i feed a fish a pokey peice of iron for the first time. thats a skill to to fish that way. but it was a fun day out there. im out im sleepy

Yep...Gotta pull those all day trips once in a while...Sure I'll be paying for it in the morning!!!

The pig on the gig taped out at 12 1/2..... MMMM Tastey!! Not a ton of fish today, but its an improvement from dinkitus...Finally got a fattie!!!! On the fly no less! :cool:

Nice being able to use the radios today...We'll have to do that again sometime. Thought it really helps find the little buggers....


Off to napland....Stupid simpons anyway!!!

Way cool day radios kept us on the jumbies. Pauls fat hen 14 1/2 inch 1.2 lb. wall mount stored away I'll give it to him for x-mas next year. Took some pics one day soon I'll post the pic. Went back today lots of fish the was good in the morn died around 2:00 gonna go in the morn my little darlin is off and she wonts to fish not shop gotta like that.

You gotta love that when the MRS. is telling you to take her fishing!:) She even has a hunch for your spot tomorrow! How cool is that? You lucky dog you!:D
