Want to go out this weekend and take a 4 wheeler. Either Metro (day sail area), SANG, or ginos. Am I safe taking my 4 wheeler????

I took my beast out there on tuesday when it was very warm out of ginos and ice was fine then. Colder now so should be better. If you go out of metro just do not go past huron point with the machine a guy went down there where the black creek/river dumps into the lake. Stay south of that and you will be just fine

I know there was a large crack along SANG that was getting worse every time someone went over it. I wonder if anyone is getting past that crack ?
Ed I went by there yesterday and machines were going over it with no problems.

Thanx Skid. I'll poke around before crossing it.
For sure. I have four more hours until fishing for a week. Hope to find some fish.

I was out all day yesterday from sang, plenty of ice and the crack is fine to cross. there is quite a layer of slush between the two layers of ice, so don't get scared when you start breaking through, there's plenty of solid ice underneath!!
was just wondering how much ice is under the slush? was planning on goin out with a golf cart on sat at crooker.
Shadow don't know about open water. I stop in around 3:00 pm on my way to work and never get out of the truck, just hang for a few and watch thru binoculars. Going to be at metro today.

There is open water from the black creek past the point of metro, so definately don't go past the point of metro near there.
