Hey Guy,

My family is taking a mini vacation Sunday thru Tuesday this week. We are starting our trip off with a visit to Cabalas, and a hotel with a pool for the kids. We would also like to squeeze in a little ice fishing in that area if we could. Does anyone have any suggestions where we could go either inland near Dundee or downriver? We will be on foot with two young kids, so we can't travel too far. We also don't have to go after the big ones, just something the kids can pull through the hole. They're starting to question the theory that fish actually live under the ice in the winter ;)

Thanks,

Neal

You could try Sterling State park by the boat launch.
You can fish right there and with minnows and waxworms and I'm sure
you'll catch some various fish. Have taken the kids there before
for just the reason you have described. I have not been there
in awhile, so I am not sure how the ice is.

Good Luck
