well I aint no expert but I'll give you a dose of what I know about crystal.

On the north side, due south of the Roller rink they are catching a few perch along the break line in 6-8 foot of water. Week days should be okay for a early morning bite. Auger your holes early and then quietly move to find them... There were also a hand full of shanties set up on the break south of the Sailboat club. They may be after perch but I have never fished them there. When I marked fish in that area they were usually gills when I was frogging around in the summer.

East of the Island a couple hundred yards you'll see the small shanty town or at least was last weekend. That too is a break line that the locals fish the shallows for perch and set tipups and jig for eyes on the north side of the break.

West of the Island 1/4 mile and a bit to the south you'll see anther few shantys. They are sitting in shallow water for perch. Just west of the maroon shanty that is tipped over and froze in is a break that drops from 6 to 24 foot or so. That is a good area to try for perch. Work from shallow to deep. That area is also been known to be a place to hook an eye or other predator looking to have a perch sandwich. Dinks was the word there last Sunday. Take your power auger. Ice on Crystal is usually the thickest around.

You can drive on from either the south access site or down by the lakeside bar.
