Me and my girlfriend are goin up there fishing this weekend and I was hoping someone could give me some pointers. It has been a few years since I have fished either of these so access points would be nice also. I am not looking for anyones honeyholes just maybe some advice that could put a couple fish in the bucket. Also how is the ice up that way? I am hopeing to take my quad and don't think that will be a problem but better safe than sorry, Thanks,
Joe

Try the bay on the north west side of mitchell or out from the causway on 115 at cadillac. They also catch gills and perch (occasional walleye) on the east side of cadillac in town.
Good Luck! Post how you do. :)

fished there last weekend, in the fishing tournament, there is a good 14-16 inches of ice on most parts of both lakes, even after the warm spell we had. your quad will do just fine, little cove on mitchell is doing good for pike, as well as the section between little and big coves. and cadillac they are doing good on pike also, and good on panfish and crappies in front of the high school, near downtown cadillac. any ?'s PM me im only 20 minutes away from there! GOOD LUCK!:D
