Think I'm going to hit fairhaven up sometime in the late morning, haven't been over there in a while. Probably won't have any parking left at cotten anyway by the time I could get down there.

The only problem now is the run-off from the rain,, the lake is gonna be chocolate milk, AGAIN! I think shallow water is gonna be your best bet.

Runoff shouldn't be a major problem. Didn't get a gully washer. Might be some cloudiness around river and creek mouths.

Just got back from ginos.
APPARENTLY Today was not the day........lol
The water seemed dirty to me near the pressure crack, visibility was about 1-3 feet depending on the lure used. Seemed as though there was decent current going through there too. Lots of slush on the ice but should firm up nice toinght or tommorow. very little snow left out there now. Should be easy going for the walking now. I was near the 2 permanent shanties out there.

Really Ed gives up so do I, me and a bud wound up with 9 ot of Selfridge. All but 4 were hogs but it was over faster than it started. Had Traps and we could see 6-8 hogs come in and get one then they were gone. Hard to get the hits. Buddy lost a rap to a 36" + musky that's when we left. It will pick up any day but who knows the front didn't help any.

This warm up we had did nothing but slow down what little we had going on the west side of the lake. Started picking up some in Fairhaven but Friday thru Monday should have been awesome. No dice...The colder and windier, the better as far as I'm concerned, textbook approaches don't apply on LSC...lol :D

Well I finally made the decision to get some mental theropy instead of working.
Went out to Fairhaven. Started fishing around 8:45. Lots of slush.
Tredged out though the slop and set up in approx. 6 fow. Water was clear.
Sat for half hour and didn't see anything. Was getting ready to move and hooked up with a 10"er. another 15 - 20 minutes another, and so on.
Ended up with 15. 10 are 10 inches or better. Biggest being around 12.5". Even got one (only 1) with the spear! First time ever. The action was slow but the quality was very good.
Caught them on pearl and chartruse rapala and white with read strip pimple. Active minnows seemed key.
Had a school of monster gills hanging around all day. First time ever I've gone out without wax worms or moussies. Wouldn't touch the minnows. Tried beads, string, nothing
Had to pull my rigs out of the water several times because big toothy critters & bass were eye'n my minnie's. Caught one 15" bass. But of course the one Walleye I saw in the morning stopped, looked and left.
It was nice, very relaxing day. I think I should do it more often. :)
