Back behind the Raft Bar out by the bullrushes is your best bet for a 10+ pounder. Water should be clear enough to spear if you wish... ;)

A few years ago I couldnt keep them Pike off of my line while Perch fishing off of Cotton Rd.Also have seen alot out near Fair Haven too.But like the other guy mentioned your best bet would be near the island behind the Raft restaurant, nice shallow water where it is hard to miss'em.Plus after this thaw the ice will be plenty safe there too

Try out by Swan Creek. Park at the DNR ramp and walk out towards the point to your right. Don't walk too close to the shore on your right, because the current curves around that point. The ice can get pretty thin in the current. Watched a car go thru two years ago when we were sitting on 18" of ice. Saw another car go through last year. Alot of people just walk blindly through this area, but I have seen the ice vary by over 12". It is a long walk though. You want to be far enough out that you can just see the shore line past the point. You should be about 150 yds to 200 yds from the point. The point is a seawall. You should be in about 10 feet of water. If you are in the wrong spot you will be in 7' or less. We go here quite often and see a ton of pike. Best day was over 40 pike (we quit counting at that point) and seven muskie. I think we only went once or twice (out of 20-30 times) that we haven't seen pike. Make sure you id the fish first, because some days we see more muskie than pike. We have seen plenty of 20+ pound pike. In the past we never speared the big ones, because they don't taste as good as the 6-8 pounders. This year I said i was going to mount one and of course the biggest we have seen this year is about 12 pounds. We catch a few perch here also. Not alot but enough to keep you entertained. This year has not been as good as the past few, I think that is due to the lack of shad. I have not seen one shad yet this year. The closer to spring time, the better this spot gets. Let me know if you try it and do any good. We may be out there this weekend in a Shapell 3000 (grey one). Put out a few decoys at all different depths. Don't crap your pants when a 40+ muskie swims through your hole just below the ice. Two years ago, we had a 30+ pounder shoot up from the bottom and swam into our hole and almost made it completely into our shanty. Two grown men screaming and kicking like two little girls. Guys next to us came over to see if we were allright. LSC will produce the next record muskie. I have seen two in two years that would have been close to or beaten the world record. The one last year was as long as my shanty (couldn't see his nose or his tail through my holes).
Another good spot to try this time of year is any of the marinas you can access off of the North Channel. You should average seeing one per half hour. Took my kids out last week for three hours in the morning and saw seven. Took one home with us. Kids had a ball trying to spear. One was so big and close my son started crying and was afraid. GOOD luck

Heck we hooked pike out by Harrison Park many times when fishing for perch. We usually setup at least one tipup for pike/musky if we have more than 3 guys.
