Do you guys think there will good ice this sunday on the pond, with all this rain we are getting but then its supposed to go below freezing after wed.I really hope thee is because i would like to try my luck a few more times at the elusive yellow perch(jumbo)

It should be fine, but you still have to be careful. Just to the south of Brandenberg there was already a section of open water developing Sunday (o2/05/05). Saturday, there was plenty of snow mobile traffic on that same ice. <----<<<

Ice should firm up just fine.I was out last night at Cotton Road from 3:00 until dark.Made the long walk out to the Salt River in the rain and didn't bring the shanty.Got really soaked.Brought home 12 keepers from 9" -11",along with about 20 dinks.All fish were caught on bronze kens with a "red" jensen tipped with a spike.Lots of water on the ice,but once that freezes back up it will make it a lot easier for walking.It will be creeper time.Had a solid 10" of ice under me.
