Jim and Jeff are good guys. They will even tell you they can catch fish!
Jim is my neighbor on the Little Maniustee River and is vice president of the Little Manistee Watershed Conservation Council. We work together on restoration and preservation.
Very active in fishing and preservation.

Steve,
Nice job on the web site.
How do you contact them for info or to book a trip?
I click on contact and get a "send email to sandy at dream weaver something
or other". What is this all about?

The weather has been so cold that this is the only "catch" I have been able to make.
Hope to get into some Steel as soon as my boat shows are over with.
Fly fishing show this weekend then the big 4 day Grand rapids show next week. Last week the Grand Rapids press did a 2 page spread on Karen and me making boats. This was in the outdoor section and mentioned that we would be at the GR show. I might get busier than normal for this time of year and never get to fish! Not!!
See you. We need a spring over nite river trip. Keep it in mind.

How much would a normal draft boat like that be?

I make 4 styles of boats and 4 sizes pontoons.
Boats can be made with pontoons to fit the size of people who will be using them and the avarage draft is about 4".
What is nice about these boats having an open bottem, if you do get into very shallow water, no need to get out. Just stand up and walk the boat to deeper water.
