No problem Willie glad we can help! I hope he's feeling better...he left more blood on the ice than we did after two days of pike spearing.

BTW...Hopefully you can break in the new shanty this weekend!

I know about the bad luck augers can bring and I hope this mishap doesn't discourage him from ice fishing.

He ended up slicing through his boot with his spud and it tore up his ankle pretty bad.

Wow Hope the boot is ok. KIDDING . Those spuds are sharp and have the force to do damage. Hope all is well.
While we are on the subject with spuds. when I place mine in the car or truck. I always put it in so the pointe is facing away from the driver. In an accident it may come through the cab, also you won't cut thing throwing it in head first.

ouch... hope yur lil guy is alright. chicks dig scars.

Quote: "Thinking slush on the auger blades???"
I've done that very thing. wiped the slush off before putting the cover on the blades. thought nothing of it. I felt a stinging on my finger, looked down and sliced right threw my leather glove into the fingertip. :smile-mad

It wasn't too bad, just a ruined pair of gloves and a sore digit for a while... learned a valuable lesson, though...
