Metro Beach Sunday report

Not much of a report. Walked out this morning in the dark. Fished near the south corner of the swimming area, 6 to 7 feet of water. Caught about (seemed like) 100 fish today almost all dinks. Caught a nice 10" at sunup nothing decent after. Pink atomic Ant with a minnow got most of the attention.

Walked out to the point and caught about 20 dinks smaller than the ones in close. A few people had several perch but nothing special. Draggin the Trap out to the point wasn't such a good idea but Shadow 7663 saved me a walk/drag back when he called me on the radio and came out to get me. Can't thank you enough man! I'm getting too old for this walking stuff.

Was nice to see you out there again Mike and nice to meet double trouble as well. My party was the last off the ice at 7:30p.m. The bite was hot right at dark.

50 fish ,all dinks, although we did see some nice fish come through about 6 p.m. mike and shadow, it was good to meet both of you.also fished with i've been fishin.somehow all of us m.s. crazies gather like lemmings.i was going monday morning ,but the rain came early. looks like last ice might be 3 weeks from now and i'm leaving for florida this weekend.i'll report on the bass and peacocks next week.might take a saltwater tour too. we'll see.why do i have a funny feeling that the fish are going to turn on the day i leave.i'm betting that the deeper water crocker bite should turn on soon. also , we have not seen the spawners at metro yet.where are they. well i've rambled enough , time to clean up the truck. its a mess.
