Going out Monday AM to try to find them out there...Seems like the only part of the lake which produces a few worth filleting...I plan on being at Metro Party Shoppe by 7:00 and at the access before 7:30. I drive a gray Buick Century. I was just hoping for a handful of guys that would first of all make the walk out a little more faster, secondly, cover some water and hopefully get into em... ;)

Getting ready to crash, will be at the Metro Party Shoppe at 7:00 or a little after. I think the steady rain will hold off until afternoon...

Did the leg work, that's for sure...Pretty much a ghosttown out there with never more than 30 people out there at any given time...Yellow Belly and I got started right at daybreak and all we could really find was a bunch of dinks within 150 of the west shore. On my way in, I tried right in the middle of a pack of 5-6 shanties and got a 13 1/4" as soon as I sat down but that was it. Guys in the shanty said they were seeing them on occasion along with a few walleyes passing thru also but very few takers. Got soaked from the rain but I would do it again in a heartbeat...Good conversation, good beer, and lousy fishing. As Meatloaf would say, 2 out of 3 ain't bad... :D

Let me add that it was a good thing I didn't hammer them today, I would have run out of minnows. The guy in his early to mid 20's with the glasses gave us a pretty lousy count per dozen this morning... :dizzy:
