Airport bay

About 12 of us fished airport bay from 7:00am to 6:00pm and we caught 2 perch and a mud puppy. I myself scored a big fat skunk :bash: Oh well, the amber ale was worth it.

Airport Bay is at the south end of Grosse Ile, in the Detroit River. The parking there for ice fishing, or anything else for that matter is limited, and the local law enforcment WILL ticket/tow if you decide to park where you probably shouldn't. You can't miss it though, there's quite a few shantys out there, but the fish are very scarce.
A good place to see an overhead of the bay is on the Grosse Ile Airport website. The bay is actually at the south end of the two main runways.
Be aware though, there is a small amount of current under that ice, but as of Thursday there was a good 8-9" of ice out there. I thought the current seemed a little stronger on the east side of the bay.
