Does anyone know where there are any card shoots or turkey shooting at in lower michigan? Just thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone knew of any in the area. Seems like there are more of these in the south. Just curious.

Thanks KingFish. You wouldnt have any way of finding out when and where for those two clubs would you. Seems that I have searched high and low and cant find a place to turkey shoot. When I was a kid with my uncle we used to go all the time. Of course I cant remember where those places are now. Is this club building, money raising, sport dead?? I remember I used to enjoy the company of everyone getting together. Is there a chance that you could give me a number or a website where I could get more specific info that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I will try and get some info on the two clubs.
Nowadays, people are shooting IDPA and USPSA, along with bowling pins. These sports seem to be more popular right now.

Reed City Sportsman Club hosts a turkey shoot the weekend before small game season opener. We have been talking about putting another one together this spring, if we do, I will post the info.

4x4,

My friend that is a member of Coon Hunters club had this reply,

"the Turkey shoots are on Sundays, I think 10am; if important I can
call the president
- also on Sunday, they have a healthy Southern-style breakfast for a nice price"
I believe that is most every Sunday, all year long also. I am sure if you visit on of the shoots, there will be more info on other shoot locations.

Coon hunters is on Wick road just west of Wayne road. Coming from Grass Lake, it is on the north side of I94 and east of I275.

Ever see the movie "Sergeant York"? He wins the whole beef by cutting 5 centers! With a muzzle loader.

Some use a shotgun. Depends on the rules of the match. Could be any type of firearm. Just so that all are equal!

Thanks a bunch Kingfish. I think I will go check em out. Your right you may never know what else will happen when you show up to one of them. I just remember more people going to these when I was younger. Thanks for your time.
