Has anyone been out on Crystal lake for smelt? i have been out on Green lake a few times and caught a mess of small ones but they just dont cut it on tip-ups for pike. I heard people are doing really good on pearch, but haven't heard a word about the smelt. I would really appriciate it if someone could give me some input.

I don't think anyone has been fishing for them much for a couple years. The small bay on the north side, where M22 comes in, is where everyone always fished for smelt in the past. There hasn't been a shanty out there in 3-4 years. The smelt are down in Crystal right now. We have been getting them for bait from Green, or Cedar Lake in Grelickville. Trout fishing has been fair at best so far.
