It'd try using the search in this forum. There was a lot of talk about them not long ago
Really depends on what your budget and desired applications are.
I bought the Scout because it has everything I need for features and is the entry level price for the brand. Sun shade, downview clip, fish cam, 50' cable. Manual states average 4hr battery life depending on conditions, but I've never had less than 6 and have gone over 8 using the LED.
You can easily spend upwards of $500 and there are features like a sun-viewable screen that are very nice for moving around without a shanty. I've heard the cord recoil boxes on these freeze up but that's 2nd hand info and I wouldn't make a decision based on it.
(there are other brands down to $99)

Bolodunn Witch one did you get?? Its says on the pamflets on most Aqua-vu's
" Light intended for LOW light situations not no light situations"..
well i know i'm getting the scout 5'' screen, 50' cord, light, bluegill camera, and its $200 buck, has jacks for camera's to record.
Oh yes if your lookin at the IPS make sure your look closly its a DOWN VEIWING camera wich iwas thrilled about thats what stopped me from getting it.. but it has a nice 7'' screen :D

i got the scout. was going to get the ips but it is only a down view. if your only going to use it ice fishing it might be worth the extra 70 dollars as it has a 7 inch screen. the scout has a 5 inch screen but the camera fish can be viewed both ways vertical or horizontal. the battery on my scout runs out after three hours, thats with using the light for the first hour. the light does not make much difference unles your camera is right on your bait. also heard that you can use a deep cycle marine battery since that is 12 volts. does anyone know if thats true? i would like to be able to use the camera all day. thanks:fish:

i have the mc(multi color) its sweet don't get me wrong!
but i have turned that light on , just to check. & i saw bluegill & perch scatter everytime!
the one i have has the water temp on it aswell.
if i were to buy a different one, it would have to have camera direction on it.
it is a real pain to try & figure out which way the thing is pointing underwater. i saw a video for a marcum camera that had direction!

i think im leaning towards the scout but there is just one thing i find wrong with it. i dont know if its just me but those fish shape/size/color cameras seem like they would be enticing to a big ole pike. what do you think

yea thats what i think to i asked for a brocher on the Aqua-Vu products and i seen a picture of a guy holding the camera and its huge... thats the only think i'm paranoyed about is that happening.... exspeciall scince it just sits there.... but it would be kinda a neat seein' it... :D or course with someone else's camera

just got the scout two weeks ago at franks in linwood. it now comes with a 100 ft cord. i've only used it on the bay a few times. when theres daylight you don't need the lights at all. for 200 bucks it is a nice tool. some of the walleye i got you could watch them bite the bait. i was in 18 ft of water with the camera down about 8 ft and you can see everything. it never spooked the walleye but then again they were on bottom and the camera was 10ft above them. the scout has a clear fin you hook on to the tail of the camera so you can down view with it. that makes the camera fish look like it is swimming down. remember that the bay is fairly clear water i suspect that in dirty water like the saginaw river you won't see much. all in all i enjoy it. i found when my battery ran out even with the vex still going i was ready to go buy another battery as it was so much fun to watch the fish and your bait to see how everything reacts. been a lot of discussion about which one to have the camera or the vex. bought the vex first and wont fish without one, but i'm also lucky enough to have the camera now and the two paired together is priceless! sorry couldn't help that one. lol:lol:
