Orion has been good for gills, but don't expect huge ones. I can't seem to find good pike action on the main part of the lake there though. It's a big lake, maybe I'm not in the right areas for pike. I've been thinking about trying the shallow bays.
Has anyone tried Lake 16 or Lakeville? I'm looking for good numbers of pike. PM me if you want to keep it quiet.
Thanks,

Fished Orion again Sunday Jan 6th. Lots of gills! Several were over 8". Steady action from 9:00-1:00. They weren't biting well before 9:00. I saw one HUGE bass. Snowmobile traffic was very light. Went in at 1:00.

I live on Lake Orion, and I really never try catching bluegill through the ice. I was wondering if you could give me any information on catching bluegills and crappie through the ice out on LO. I usually fish in the shallow bays for pike during the winter. I usually do really good between now and when the ice leaves. I have caught as many as five in a day all over 30 inches. I live on the northeastern end of the lake.
I really want to get into some of the walleye on the lake and I would like to know if you know anything about where they are catching them

Lake_Orion,
I have some really good bluegill and crappie spots. We can trade bluegill info for pike info. I have a quad, an auger and four portable shantys. I sent you a PM.
