Trying to get things around for the White Lake steelie get together. Got the rods gathered. Now should I be using fire line or mono, Wigglers or spawn or is it a toss up? Two or four lb leader? Set up bell sinker or hook at the bottom. So Schaaed1 got the kits and putting those together and rest is coming together we just need a little imfo.
Saw about eight fellows out there fishing for steelies today when I crossed the bridge.
Thanks Guys

Don't know what you are missing Wally-eye. I think there is an old indian saying that goes something like .... "one with Vex catches more fish"
I am going as well, I was thinking about taking waxies, wiggler, and spawn. I figure one of them will work. Now hopefully, whit won't eat the wigglers and wax worms before we can use them. If you put them on a muffin, you never what will happen with whit.

Ya I know about the vex. After Gibby showed me his vex on Fremont lake I had to go git me one. Got the FL18 w/duals...:yikes: Now I might have to sleep at Gibbys house cus the little woman has me sleeping in the garage...although it is kind of quiet out there.

I heard something about Whit and muffins. :tdo12: I was thinking though ... we could take the spawn and put it inside a muffin for him! It would kinda be like one of those jelly filled doughnuts. :corkysm55

I would spool it with 6 or 8 lb mono of your choice. Hook on the bottom with a split shot above it. Any of the above mentioned baits will work.

Thanks for the direction. I know how I set up when fishing the river but havn't done the ice thing before. Should be fun.
Wal-eye, making me feel bad about having to sleep in the garage. Hee Hee
Hit Muskegon Lake tonite, I didn't hurt the walleye's so it's back to pan fish tommorrow.
