A subject brought up with a fellow ice fisherman. He says he does not like alot of people fishing around him. Claiming it hurts his fishing area when so many people next to him. I disagree, the more people jigging baits around me the more vibration in the water. Which if you believe that fish are attracted to injured bait fish, this should bring feeding fish towards your baits. 1 lure vs. 8 lures makes more sense. Agree or Disagree? :fish:

I don't think have a bunch of guys fishing in one area makes and difference. The problem comes when its guys buzzing around on snow machines and a bunch of guys stomping around making a lot of noise.
I don't think it matters much if you use a gas auger or a hand auger they both cause a grinding noise on the ice maybe the gas is better because its faster. more bait may work better make sense sort of. I like to fish in jam ice because its darker under the ice and the fish like to stay 9in the shadows. at least the eyes do .

I believe the more the merrier. Never felt that a lot of jigging near me hurt my odds. As long as their not on top of each other I don't think it hurts and probably helps stir things up...........

:yeahthat:

The only thing that I have noticed is people walking around on the ice will spook walleyes, I have seen it on my camera, they just turn and run :yikes:.

I like more people around, especially if I am catching more than everyone! On the flip side, what a bummer to be out there and it seems like everone is killing 'em and you can't even get a hit. I do think the fish tend to either stay in the area longer or at least return much sooner if there are a lot of baits in the water.

Fishing presure affects the fish more than the weather, same thing with deer hunting

I don't mind others fishing around me. I have to agree that as long as they're not buzzing around on snowmobiles or quads. A few others around doesn't seem to make much difference.

It doesn't bother me unless they are catchin fish and i'm not, I find myself concentrating and trying much harder to make sure that doesn't happen to often.
