I was sitting in the coop the other nite watching the vex. All of a sudden, I see a blip come off the bottom and it's coming straight up and it's not stopping. :yikes: Now I'm kind of starting to pucker a little-wondering what's coming up out of that hole. I wait and nothing happens. Then I see another one coming. Off the bottom, charging straight up. I get ready to fend off another attack. Nothing. Then I realize what they are. Bubbles!!! They were coming from the spot where my flashlight landed the night before. :lol:

Don't have a vex. But I have had a few muskrats come up into the shanty through the hole.:yikes: Jan and Feb. should be open for muskrat spearing through the ice.

Maybe what came up was gas. You may have scared the SH!**&%# out of the fish. Try using a lure that is not so scary. :lol: :lol:
