I have some friends from out of state who would like to rent a lodge or a couple of cabins for a family get together.
They are looking for good warm/cool water fishing and peace and quiet, almost anywhere in MI might be acceptable.
Time is short.
Any ideas?
Thanks!! ;)

If there's just 3-4 of them, they can find a lot of places. But if there's a group, say more than 6 of them, they'd better get going, because to rent more than one cottage at a time will get tougher and tougher to even find in another couple of weeks.
I'd try some of the vacation rental sites...http://www.vacationrental.com or htt://www.cyberrentals.com
are two of the sites, most are very reliable.
Good luck.

Thanks Linda. I'll forward that link.
They have 6 or 7, for fathers day! :yikes:
My buddy has a place on Hanley Lake (your neck of the woods). He's willing to rent it. But thats not exactly peace and quiet, Central Lake is pretty busy in the summer.
Any more ideas?

Summer doesn't start up here till the 4th of July, it's pretty quiet until then, at least, it's not like Traverse City...if you really want quiet, come up here now. It's dead. ;)
I'm booked from the 11th-18th of June, but have openings after that if there ends up being fewer of them, and they end up going later. I'll take 2 adults and 3 kids, or 4 adults, but anymore than that is pushing it in this little cabin of mine.
Good luck...

We've been up in the winter (many times), after cleaning the snow off his roof it's pretty quiet! LOL
I'll pass on the info, supposed to talk to them tonite or tomorrow.
Thanks again.
P.S. I'm always looking for new places to trout fish. Are the Cedar or Rapid River worth the time exploring? (PM is probably wise)
