Good People ,

Just had a buddy ask me if I knew anywhere that a just turned 12 yr old can take the required snowmobile operators/saftey class that will allow him to ride a machine by himself. I did not realize that this was a requirement for youngsters and told him that I personally did not know of such a class but would ask on this site and forward any replies to him. My friend lives in the Romeo area but is willing to drive within reason to get his son certified . I know we have a very broad base of knowledge out ther with all our members and will say THANKS
in advance for any help that you kind folks can provide:)

that link is a search page for safety classes available. You can search by county but there are only a few available. The law says anyone 12-17yrs old needs a certificate to ride on public land unless they are under "direct supervision" of someone over 21.
Hope that helps

only reason I knew was because my son turned 12 this past year,
Hope your friend and his son have as much fun as we have this year though!
