Im seeing that leavin the feet on your foxes is becoming more
popular again. Ive always taken them off my pelts. Just curious what you guys are doing with yours.

Trapper Jeff I have been selling my fox & coyote with the feet on for about four years now. Found a guy that makes hats and want's the feet left on. It only take's a little time and it's worth it. Wileykiller

When you guys skin your canines and decide to leave the feet on, how do you do it? I have read in several books and magazines to leave the feet on, but no one has ever showed a method (with photos) as to how to do it. Do you skin down to the nail and cut them off? do you leave the pad on? I am curious as to how it is done, because I look at my dogs foot and wonder......seems like a lot of work to leave the feet and nails on.

16 yes skin the feet down to the last knuckle and cut off. Yes you leave the pads on also. The Alaska trappers had a video out shows how to. It's almost like pullimg your sock off when you skin there feet out. It's worth it I get about $20 more a pelt.
