Houghton lake weekend

I had a fun time this weekend up at Houghton lake !! The fish were bitting good.....every outing I had at least a 4lb. pike caught and 1-Walleye for every outing..(morning & Evening)...total of 3 walleyes...biggest around 3lbs. ....6- pike... biggest around 6lbs. and several crappies....fished a area around the middle grounds....my neighbor fished straight out from our cottage and caught some nice walleye there also...no other bites for him except the walleye! Great job !!

Quick question though................. Whats the wound/sore on the side of the Pike? Used to see this at Fletchers once in a while on some Pike there.

Wierd sore isn't it!! I took a quick look but wanted to get the pike back in the water quick!! First one I ever caught with a sore like that before!! ??

Yeah.......... Like I said, we used to see some at Fletchers like that. We used to called it "Pike Herpes" :lol: :yikes:

cought a pike last year on houghton that had a sore just like that no one seemed to have saw it before. Im going up this thursday for the weekend. Here how they were doing around the south weed bed?
