Met up with some good friends and managed to spend a great day on the ice. Fishing wasn't so great, but the weather couldn't have been better. Managed a couple lakers in 90 fow, along with a bonus whitefish. Went smelting to round out 16 hours on the ice (7:30 AM to 11:30 pm). Got enough for a meal, but that's it. The only biters were on the bottom, which is tough hooking with 70 feet of 2# test. They aren't quite here yet, but should show up soon. Perch reports are the same - lots of small ones.
