I was thinking of heading out to Wolverine Lake this Sunday in pursuit of pike. I have heard in the past it is know for producing a lot of flag with the occasional big fish is this true? Was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to set tip ups? Also where is the closest place to buy shiners/suckers? Or are there better places to try in Oakland County?

The back bay (under the bridge left of the public access) almost always has tip-up flags flying high...Lots of small panfish in there to feed on...

3/4 of a mile west of the access is a bait shop (name unknown) where you can probably get what you need for a day's pike fishing... ;)
