Fished for perch on Boardman Lk. last two days with out a single bite. I moved a lot,anywhere from 20'-50' of water,just no takers. Tonight I fished on Ceadar Lk. in Leelanau Co. for a couple of hours and caught one 7" perch and one 10" pike. I'm headed out in the morning to try and find some gills."Getting Really Hungry For Some Fresh Fish!!!"

where on cedar were you?
from the launch to the right i have caught some nice gills. try it

I was out to the left of the launch.How deep of water do you find the gills out there?I've had some trouble finding any fish that want to bite this winter so far,only been out a few times though.

If you're looking for action, there was decent smelt about 200 yards or so straight out from the boat launch on cedar. I was up there a couple weeks ago, about 50 yards to the right of a perma-shanty and hit em pretty well. Hali's Hali's and more Hali's..... The best advice a man can give!

i fished boardman at the north launch got skunked some kid pulled up a 22' pike, but a couple of guys came through on a snomobile with their limit in jumbo perch the smallest was like 11, 12 inches. i was talking to a couple guys who said the caught a couple walleye out there a couple weeks ago too. im gonna try out in the middle tomorow. ill let you know how i do.

i got 8 jumbos today but no pike or eyes we were by some apartment buildings on the west side. we used small rapalas with perch minnows.

we just kinda huddled up by a couple oher shanties and we would catch a couple at a time 1 or two every half hour, hour the ice was 5,6 inches but after the rain today im not sure. i might go sat afternoon good luck
