Finally made contact with the gills on Thurs afternoon. Fished a small pond near the house that has been getting a fair amount of pressure. I talked to one of the guys that has been fishing it for the past few evening and he said he was getting alot of small gills but has been getting some nice Crappie before dark. After putting in several holes I found one that had some fish in it. Between 3 of us we ended up with 24 gills and 1 perch. No crappie but if the other guys have been getting small gills then I must have been doing pretty good. most were between 6 1/2 and 7 1/2. Also caught 2 bass that were realesed. Boy were they fun on 2 lb. test.

It was a nice change from drowning waxworms so far this winter. :lol:
