Saw gmc jimmy out on the ice Sunday, 1/23 ! :yikes:
The guy was 1/2 mile straight out from the SANG launch and 1/4 mile to the left. I could not believe that someone actually drove their car out that far.
:dizzy:
He was coming in and you could hear the ice creaking and water coming up a little out of the holes as he was driving in.
Windows were down and looked like there may have been a kid in the passenger seat. At least the guy had his windows down. Had my cell phone in hand ready to dial 911 in case he took the ice tea plunge with the car.

this morning there was a truck half way thru the ice on whitelake about 50 yards from the launch. I drove by on my way to work at 5:45 and there were 2 oakland County Sherrifs and a tow truck at the launch. looked like a Id10t error.

Where do these people come from? This just continues to boggle my mind how any numbnuts could even think about taking a vehicle out on the ice. They're way beyond ever having a clue. :tdo12:

Just another unsuccessfull suicide attempt by a depressed fisherman after catching all those dinks at selferidge :yikes:
just kidding
but it amazes me how careless (stupid) some people can be.
A few years back I was on Lakeville Lake on 6" of ice and some clown drove
a Aerostar past me and went all the way across the lake. Over 90'+ of water no less. I did'nt see him go threw but by the time we left we had'nt seen him come back.

It's no wonder that the press continues to write negative stories toward ice fisherman. Then many on this site support these morons. Cheers to those of you who speak out against unsafe practices and jeers to the others.
