well i did a minimal round of brandonburg, cotton, and sang while out payin bills... at least one DNR truck and officer at every one of em! and at sang there where two, and one looked to be writting a ticket for a threesome of unhappy lookin men w/ two snowmobiles... wonder why they are out so hard this year? i cant remember years past that iv seen so many since opening day of duck season every year.
they're out because the state needs revenue any way it can get it, even if it's $50 at a time.

I have noticed that also. The guy that stopped us, looked at our fish and felt sorry for us. lol . Some of the dnr trucks you see out at the ramps ect are just survey crews. Probably trying to find out who netted all the walleye out of the lake last summer.

LOL he sure as hell did not bother counting them did he:lol:.
They must know fishing is lousy or if they want to get paid they have to collect the 4 dollars, than split it up with each other at the end of the day, kind of like the waitress do at resturants. well anyway it is good to see that our gov. has not axed all the state employees, she to busy selling our land.

Maybe the DNR is trying to ticket those litterbugs we all complain about.
I consider the DNR and the CO's my allies in the war against poachers and litter.

Watch out with the ORV's.....last year I saw a guy at Metro on a quad come in from the ice wearing his helmet and park the ORV nex to his truck. He took his helmet off to remove his fishing gear from the ORV, then drive the orv up his trailer ramp and the CO gave him a ticket for no helmet.....I think sometimes they get bored when everyone follows the rules on the fishing so they find other things to write tickets for. It would be nice though if they were on the ice busting guys for littering instead of something as minor as that....

After seeing all the fish caught last year they think it's a hot ticket place. I know of a couple of valiators no friends of mine.

I think it's a made up story if the guys says he got a ticket for not having his helmet on while driving it onto the trailer...I've even seen them give some of the ones that refuse to follow the rules breaks.. I agree w/ the guy earlier in the posting follow the rules and you will not have any problems...:bash: :tsk: :yeahthat: :Modified_

In our area orv laws are the only hunting or fishing laws being broken this time of the year around here.

Thank god for the DNR!!! How can you not support them??? Just follow the rules and buy your licenses. Consider evreything they do. Sure they are state funded but how much do you think the state gives them? There isn't enough to please everyone at once. They should be out there writing tickets!!! I think they do a great job with what they got. If you think they are to strict then maybe your not a real sportsman:yikes:

The only bad experience I ever had and it was my fault. When I was 18, I had a red iroc camaro and I was driving home and saw this green truck in front of me going right around the speed limit so i decide to pass the truck doing about 65 in a 55. Well, :) the green truck followed me for awhile then on came the blue lights. I was shocked that a CO was pulling me over. He told me that I should try to "keep this machine under control...and that he waited until I was out of town before pulling me over to save from being embarrased." No ticket, just a slap on the wrist. I would have loved to have taken a picture of that scene and made it into a poster. But then again, the CO would have had to been a hot female.
Anyways, I have nothing but the utmost respect for our CO's. They are out there keeping the outdoors in check.

That is just plain nit picky!!!!
I haul my trailer with my 3-wheeler out there and back. Upon arrival to my truck, I unhook the 3-wheeler from the trailer, hook the trailer on the truck and drive the 3-wheeler on the trailer. Without my helmet on. If I ever get a ticket for that the CO can kiss my...........
