Hello.

I keep hearing this place called Ginos. I am not from the area, I am from Hamtramck. I know where Tin Fish is, and where Jiggers is. Where is Ginos? and how do I get there?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Gino's is south of Metro beach. Take 94 east to metro parkway(16mile), 16 mile to jefferson, go south about a mile or so. Cant miss it. Lots of parking, but be ready for palms up, they charge to park there.

Gino's isn't any huge secret....been around forever and it's a big lake. Plenty of room for everyone.

The lake is always busier on the weekend....Fish weekdays if you can swing it. I think they may be selling some bait right at ginos out of the trailer but I haven't been there yet this year so I don't know for sure.

You can get minnows down at Beach Way party store....S on Jefferson till you hit shook. Next to Carlos pizza.

There is another bait shop next to the party store at the corner of Jefferson and metro Pkwy too, depends on which way you are coming in from.

LOL lucky I didn't mention that Metro is to the north and Crocker is to the south. Both lots will hold A lot of cars. All 3 spots are within the fish zone. Genos is just the center of that part of the lake. lucky us there is room to park and spread out!
I already have two holes drilled and I put up a 8 foot fence around them. Its locked so don't even think of fishing my spot. :p

Hey Ed

Did you run an electrical line out to hotwire it. Me, I am going to put up a dog fence and everybody going out to Geno's has to wear a collar. That should keep them out of my hole.......Ha ha ha

michigan-fishermen1219 - thanks for the help.

I didnt mean to cause a ruckus. I just want to find a good place besides Anchor Bay to ice fish. I am not asking what your using for bait or how you fish. Just wanted to know where the place is at.

Thanks for the help guys. Tight lines.

Look Guys I know the site is for helping people out ok and I have no problem with it.Posting on the internet responsibly and sharing a bit info or showing off your catch is fine also.Sorry my motto isnt the more the merrier so thats why the post about the map.Yeah I have been to GINOs and quite honestly I dont like fishing down there because of all the crap and the people. Its a damn zoo and not just on weekends anymore. When you cant find parking or have to pay because someone is out to make a $10 from you and all the other masses then it ruins it for alot of other people.Just think about this,R U going to put a map to you favorite little trout stream on the internet forums also?I highly doubt it.1 other thing to mention I learned alot last year about what and what not to post on the internet last year.Like I said I dont have any problems with helping people at all but I feel theres ways to do it like by sharing info in pm`s or in person not by putting maps or everybit of fishing info about the fishing spot on the internet. No I dont own the lake or any other fishing spot, nor do I have any intentions of doing so.All Im asking here is a better judgement of whats posted.Sorry you feel what I did was wrong I honestly had no intentions os pissing anyone off because of it.

To find all the other "hot" spots out there, I wouldn't want to be to specific, Im not one to offend my fellow sportsmen

Lets see...St.Clair is a Massive body of water...Geno's is a small place for parking only...the lake can be viewed for miles in any direction from that point of shoreline...typically see hundreds if not thousands of people out there fishing...two launches within 1/2 mile...and someone is complaining that we share this location?? give it a break. St. Clair is not your little trout stream. There is plenty of room for THOUSANDS to fish in that area, and do so safely. Perch are not trout.

If we follow this reasoning...then postings of outings can be forbidden because 10,000 members can see where we are going to be at.

Remember...this also means you could never mention any body of water...some poor soul that has never been there might ask where Houghotn or Hubbard lakes are located..

Absolutly ridiculous.

I sent stinger63 this PM, and i think he's the kind of guy that would copy/paste it and post it here with some type of childish remark, so I'll just save him the trouble and post it myself:

Stinger63,
I personally disagree with your opinions on the sharing of information. I feel that you are rude, inconsiderate, immature and selfish.

When I first joined this site, the sharing of information was what made this site far and above one of the best sources of information available in the state of Michigan. I think there were 1400 members or so when I joined, and we would all gladly help each other out, even to the point of posting GPS coord's for all to see.

Of course now the sight is much larger, and I understand your concern, but I still can't help but feel that you have nothing to offer to the other members of this site. Why are still actively a member? You don't even have the slightest clue as to what this site is about, and it's intended purpose.
I would recommend that you just keep all your spots to yourself, hang out with your fishing buddies and keep everything secret, and get over it already. If I never read another post from you, it would be too soon......Good Luck Fishin

Okay fellas, questions were asked and answers were given, well within the rules of the site.

As far as the "secret" business, that has been rehashed plenty.

I hope we all remember to avoid personal attacks. We would hate to start dealing out strikes.

Thanks
