Hey guys i think i am going to try my luck at some walleyes next weekend up in the bay.........never been there for ice.......anyone with tips and any possible locations on where i should go and try my luck........thanks :help:

How are you going to get out to where you want to fish? Walk or a machine?

You will need to go out more than 2 miles off shore in most places. Linwood Rd. or Bay City State park are some easy access points. 12 feet and deeper off of these spots to find the fish.

You can find some fish off of the mouth of the Saginaw river also. Went out there today and caught about 4 undersize ones. Fish just off the channel edges there.

A shanty may be a good idea if the weather is not that pleasant. The wind seems to always be blowing out there.
