My Nephews birthday is coming up (he will be 12 finally) and the whole family is pitching in to get him set up with a bow.

I wanted to get him a good release to use with a string loop. Does any one know of one that they can recomend? Im not sure if we should get him a expensive one like the scott liitle goose youth or is there something a little more resonably priced?

Thanks for the help.

Some of your decision should depend on wether the youngster is "responsible", meaning will he take good care of the item. If he is pretty good about making sure his stuff is taken care of, I would spend the money and get him the Scott. An exceptional quality release that should last him several years (until he grows out of it), and would then be ready to pass on to another younger family member. Tru-Fire makes a Jr. release or two as well, but I don't think the monetary savings are made up for in the long run.
