My buddy and I are coming down at the butt crack of dawn on saturday morning and will be fishing all day and spending the night...the fishing all day Saturday as well. I need some suggestions on a good place to stay close to the lake...and some suggestions on where to find the perch...any help would be appreciated...now I would love to take home a 2 day limit between the both of us (wishful thinking) but any advice to get a few jumbos would be appreciated
Thanks
Joe

Thanks Neil...only problem (as you know) i am real unfamiliar with the area...I have only ever fished Selfridge and Capt. Cove...so as you can see my adventures on LSC have pretty limited....But I would be up to trying something new..Fair haven???? Gino's??? But i am not real familiar with their locations to each other.
Thanks

Fairhaven is on the N end of the lake....Equivlent of 24 mile rd. Gino's is further S 10 miles. There are some mom and pop places up by farihaven that should give you a good rate. Close to the access too. Can't recall any of the names off the top of my head, but some of them are right on the lake. Might want to google up Fairhaven motels and see what you get.
Down by ginos, any decent place to stay is off the lake. Red Roof Inn on Little Mack and I94 would be the closest/cheapest that I can think of.
If I was going to be looking for perch right now, it wouldn't be LSC. If it was me who was going to be dropping the coin for gas and a room, I'd head to simcoe.

I have heard reports of some fish from Metro, and Fairhaven, and have wanted to try Gino's..how far are we talking about from selfridge to these places? Thanks Guys i really appreciate it...If there are any locals going out on Saturday am-pm or sunday am maybe we could meet somewhere?
Thanks again

To Simcoe go across the bluewater bridge into canada on the 402.Its about 3-4 hours NE into Ontario. These are very vague directions You might have to to mapquest search on exactly how to get there.

I am sure this is a "DUMB" question but how far from all the hotspots on lsc is roseville?

The red roof in is just off I-94 at 13mile rd. exit, from there get back on 94 toward port huron, get off at metro parkway (metrobeach exit) turn right on parkway.you can park at metro, fish the back bay by the boat ramps, or just follow the crowed. for gino's
get off at metro, turn right on crocker, turn left on jefferson. its just after the s curves.or turn right on jefferson and go to the dnr ramp and fish there, again follow the crowed

All the hotspots are anywhere between 10-15 minutes travel time from Roseville, depending on the time of day. Fairhaven being the exception, which is about 30 minutes from Roseville. There is actually an Extended Stay right at 13 and Little Mack, which I believe starts at $39 a night.
