In front of the B-Dike there is about 150 yards of ice and then all slush. I don't know if that will freeze up well this year.

I stopped by Bottomline today. They said there was a couple guys that went out this morning. They went out onto the ice so I guess it's safe in areas. The guy said that their reports was not the best but they did say they caught a couple dinks.
Not much of a help but I would say by this weekend it should be fine. Have fun walking out. I gave up going out there. I would rather drive an hour and walk ten minutes than drive ten minutes and walk for an hour. Even though there are some nice hogs out there to be had.

Remember guys, the big spawners will now be only at the north end, since the south end was closed off. Though, i am sure there are plenty of fish tapped in the southern end, the North end will recieve the runs of spawners.....so, from where people usually park, it's a 4+ mile hike one way.....can be well worth it if you hit a good run.

bolodunn,
Drove out to Breast bay Monday to check it out. The canals in the marina had good ice with people fishing the back area. The bay had ice out to the north pointe across to the store. So I would say there was ice out about 200-300 yds. The marina said it not totally safe yet but getting there. I will be driving out this weekend to check it out again. Be safe,Vince:fish: :fish2:
