Plenty of ice in my usual spot 8-10". Went out and did suprisingly well, caught 25 keeper perch 8-11" range. And a school of walleyes moved through, I got 2 almost identical 14" walleyes...mmmm
FINALLY A DECENT REPORT!
with no midterms tommorow ill be going back for sure, the perch and walleye both preferred a little atom jig by Ratfinsky. :fish: :fish2:

I'm not a warm water guy but isn't the Detroit River size limit smaller than 15"?
Ok, I checked and it is 15". Let's hope it's just a typo.

I think he made an honest mistake. It has only been 2 years since it's 15" on the Detroit River.

He didn't say he kept them. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt 'till I know different.

Well,,,, if he didn't know the size limit,, he does now. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume it was just an honest mistake,, I know it doesn't make it right,, but I'm not gonna JUMP ALL OVER HIM for it.

So, you are not going to reveal this marina???? IT would help alot, espessially if it's within biking distance...haven't had a ride to go ice fishing, i would love it is there was a spot close that i wouldn't need a ride to go to.

Us ghetto fisherman have to wait the longest i guess. The ice in the marina adjascent to Salter memorial park is 3 inches hard ice, with no way to reach it as I have to wait for a shelf to freeze... Quote:
Sry. we all know how to do a search. If your area cant handle the fishing pressure just say so. We still like hearing the report. Good fishing

Let those with no sin cast the first stones :p I think setting him straight with the rules was all that was needed, he obviously was not trying to break the law or he wouldn't have posted it. Some day one of you might benefit from one of this guys posts. :grouphug:
