Gino's Ice Report Please

I'm looking for an ice report ONLY. I'vd read the posts about dirty water, slow fishing, but at this point I am just looking for a place to fish.

Is the ice safe at Gino's? How thick is it.......how far out does it go?

I'm trying to fish Friday AM and I would love to fish Gino's if the ice is safe.

There was 4 cars in the lot when I went by this evening about 530pm... Ice as far as I could see (well, at 40mph) but everyone was fishing in rather tight, maybe 200 yards or so.


They had there little brown trailer open to take your five spot....I think they are selling bait and coffee there too....

There is some open water off of crocker, so be carefull of where you are wandering around at.....

A friend of mine drove through Gino's and Crocker yesterday said there was ice as far as he could see. There were 4 vehicles in the lot, watching some old guy wander around the ice, when he finally came in, all the vehicles BOMBARDED this old guy to ask him what the ice was like. By the time my buddy got to ask him how the ice was,, he replied,, " I wasn't even fishing G DAMMIT, you saw me walking,, the ice is fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!" LMAO,, so take that for what its worth. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the fast reply. If anyone has been there and punched a hole farther than 100 yards off shore how about a report.

I haven't fished Gino's yet and was wondering about the parking situation there. Do people park AT Gino's or elsewhere?

Welcome. Yes you can park right there at Ginos.

A stiff EAST wind coming at the end of the week with the storm blowing in, which is good news for ice on this side.....i want to hit it too, early season can be great there.
