Just a safety reminder to all of you that use atvs to better your hunt, be carefull and drive safely. I'm out in Albuquerque, NM this week on business and they had a very popular (I think) Congressman killed over the weekend when his quad flipped over on him while bow-hunting w/ his son.

Let's not add this to the list of hunting accident statistics.

I second that. I've had mine come over on me a few times and I consider myself a careful rider. Thank goodness I had a rack on the back of the ATV which helped save myself.

I was on my way out for my last morning of bowhunting, it was pre-dawn....there is a two track that runs between two properties, that we share with our neighbors. Little did I know the other property owner was surveying his property and marked the line with six foot metal post. I never saw it coming...the next thing I knew, the bike was on top of me. I crawled out with a broken rib and a injured shoulder, but the real pain came when I looked up to see my bow split in half. Always be careful.

You never know when its going to to be your "time". Approximately two weeks ago one of the guys from our office had to deliver a check to a widow. Her husband was up north wheelin' and hit a water puddle and hydroplaned into a tree. He left a wife and kids :(

May God bless everyone to have many safe, fun and happy hunting seasons.

:( Geez those stories are horrible guys.:(

Second year with a quad for me, and I am very careful. I will be even more careful now.

I think the moral of the story is drive w/ caution and slowly, especially in low light conditions.

Many moons ago I owned and raced sleds. I can tell you first hand from people I knew and the key word is KNEW that speed kills. These are not toys w/o consequences.
