Does anyone have any reports on East Crooked Lake? (Between Howell and Brighton) Ice thickness? Are they biting? Any flags? Thanks.

I've hit some of the surronding lakes in the area and all had 5" +, so thickness should not be an issue. As for the action, have not been on Crooked yet this year so can't comment on that part of the question.

fished it sunday eve for a couple hours. ice was good and there where guys using the whole lake. the weather was cold and windy so it cut back on my moving around. we managed a couple small crappie and a few so-so gills.

Well, I did fish it yesterday with a buddy (Wed 1/19) from 1 pm until dark.
One small bluegill + two flags: nothing and 1 small pike.
On a good note, the ice is about 8 inches thick and the water is pretty clear. I could see my bait down until about 10-15 feet.
One of the lakeshore residents told me that the crappie action has been pretty hot after dark, but I didn't have time to stick around.
