Fished from 1 - 5:15. Caught about 5 dink perch. Was really impressed with the Vexilar (http://www.vexilar.com/) today though. More on that later. 6 inches of very solid ice and man was it making ice something fierce out there today. Some of the loudest pops I've ever heard.

Ice popping is good.... making ice. Did you have the radio on? Where were you fishing?

I only drove through Kensington,, I didn't stop and fish, I was on Lake Sherwood, kinda around you're neck of the woods. Locals there say theres nice keeper perch in there,, I've never seen one. Lots of bass, hard to keep them off the hook.

Mike, I've gotten into those crappies after dark on Sherwood before, the action was pretty good. Where do you fish on that lake,,, I only have access at one spot, which quite possibly could be a LONG WAYS from the fish, with the way that lake is. I usually only fish there early in the season, until LSC gets good ice.

Fish Spear and I tried Kent again as well. Fished By Turtlehead island in 6-8 ft. Using cam and vex to mark lots of weeds but no fish. Tried out my new decoys I carved to see if I could coax in some pike but nada. 1 dink perch for each of us. Thinking of hunting the river channel for walleye if LSC doesn't improve soon.

Fished Kent Lk. over near Turtlehead yesterday. Few dink perch, one nice perch and a 15.5" walleye. I was in about ten feet of water. Wind was horrible though. Can anyone tell me where the river channel runs through over there?
