Last night I fished a small lake to the south of me that so far this winter has had my number. I would pick up one here or there but have not been able to put together a pattern or find the concentrations of gills that I am used to finding here. Until yesterday! I decided to fish a spot that I have never fished before, a point off of an inlet to the lake. I punched about 15 holes, through the 3 to 4" of ice, then started searching with the Vex. It didn't take long! The first hole that I looked in had fish stacked up from the bottom to 5', In 10' of water. I dropped down the small white and chartreuse Genz Bug tipped with a waxie and the game was on. I caught fish steady from 3:30 till dark. Time to get some in the freezer! These are the ones that I brought home..................Patch

Great job patch now we need a real solid cold spell to get out on the sagnasty and try for some eyes. Or you could make the trip back down to lsc for some yellow bellies. ;)

hey patch,

im glad someone caught some fish.....i went to chemung yesterday with cmfish...and didnt catch crap......after a couple hours of that i went and hit 2 other small ponds that i thought for sure were gonna give up a few.....nothing! even the other guys on the ice didnt do crap! I was gonna attribute it to the ice popping and groaning all day, but if you hooked up, must just be my luck!!!
