Check my Gallery for three pictures I took of some modifications I did yesterday. I didn't trust going on the ice but I had to do something.
I forgot how to post them here so I hope an Admin can move them in for me.
Cut the gutter to fit (42") between the brackets, took out the bottom screws, drilled holes, rescrewed. Pounded 1" T into a 4" long piece of 1 1/4" PVC. Holds itself in place. No tape or glue yet.

good thing/bad thing. You have to buy PVC and gutter in ten foot lengths so if you screw something up just start over with a new piece.
Pretty cheap though. PVC - $4, Gutter - $3.75, one-inch T - $.49.

Great idea. I've been trying to come up with a way to hold all the little stuff so I don't have to set it in the bottom of the tub.

I almost forgot. I cut a piece out of the top of the rod holder that the reel rests on. Without the coutout the rod just spins around, gravity always wins.
