I am thinking about heading up north next weekend and want to get on either of these lakes (I really want to get on houghton, but not with TUT going on). I was wondering about the ice conditions and fishing reports for both lakes. I would preferably like to get out on cadillac, but have never ice fished the lake and am nervous to try it by myself. :hide: If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks everyone.

Check out Pilgrim Village's web page, there is one with ice conditions & fishing reports. Drive on up there, stop in to Pilgrim's and he will give you a map and tell you where to go.

Been up there a couple times and he always steared me in the rught direction.

hey tommy I haven't tried those lakes yet due to that I have no idea about the ice conditions, and have never fished those lakes before. Maybe we could meet up and fish together sometime.
thanks for all the help everyone

Drove by Lakes Mitchell and Cadillac Sunday afternoon, saw a few on Mitchell and alot of guys on Cadillac. Snowmobiles and 4-wheelers were out there too. Not sure how the fishing is.

Dave,
I am also considering heading up there this weekend (Sun and Mon, possibly Sat as well), and also have never fished Cadillac. If you decide which lake you will be fishing, let me know.

I fished Missaukee @ Lake City yesterday. Caught many dinks and a few in the 5-6" range out from Green Rd. I was joined by some guys from Indiana who left Mitchell for lack of action. Also saw some Specks and Perch caught. There was 9" of clear hard ice with some slush on top. Hope this helps you.
