Just got word about the guy who bought my Suzuki King Quad.
Appearantly, he was riding around his neighborhood, with a little too much to drink. No helmet.
To make a long story short, he was winding it out and lost control. He hit a forked tree. His head hit one fork and his leg hit the other. He is in intensive care. His jaw is broken from the front of his face all the way back to the base of the neck in several places. His leg is in such bad shape, he will never walk properly again. I was told, it will be a year or so before he can return to work.
Always wear a helmet and no booze on those things.
Bad things happen very fast, the consequences are devastating.

Thank you for the heads up Shoeman. What a devastating story. Hopefully he manages to come out of this with a lesson learned without any severe aftermath.

I have a big Arctic Cat 500cc quad, and have run that baby a little hard after a few brews myself. I think it's time to do a little thinking.

My prayers are with him.

I myself also have a 500 Artic Cat full auto, and for it a big machine It can get to 50 mph very fast. As far as four wheelers go, thats not fast, but its fast enough to die!!
