Hey,
I'm looking to get out for the day friday and am looking for some recent reports and ice condtions.
Will probably start out on Crooked by Oden Island. If that doesn't pan out we will probably head to Maple Bay.
just wondering if anyone has been out there yet.
thanks,
Tom Dawson

Was on Crooked on Sun eve and Mon Morn. 3-4" of ice with a little snow and slush on top. Went in from the ramp across from the train cars and headed out almost to Grahm Point. Marked some fish on the bottom. Had one hit jiggin a rap on Sunday, nothing on Monday. Had minows & waxies on Monday, could not find any wigglers (suspected the marked fish were perch and not eyes).
With this warm spell coming, and the amount of snow up there .... be very careful!!! That ice will turn south quickly .... but if it gets rid of the snow and refreezes, it will help in the long run. There had been someone on a sled :dizzy: leaving the same launch and going out past Grahm's Point (I followed their tracks) ... the ice isn't that good and I suspect that there will be a 'Darwin Award' winner up there sooner or later.
