pine river dam in Alma?

Just wondering if anyone has fished this area on the ice? I guess in the summer time they get monster pike out of there. I have fished for cats there and had a huge one bend my BIG pole, and made it look like an ultra light.
Just wondering what species of fish are in there

I've never fished there, I've never known anyone who has fished there, I've never even heard of anyone fihing there. from what I've heard (???), one of the most contaminated stretches of water in the whole state. factory from years ago polluted the hell out of the surrounding soil so bad, they can't touch the river bottom for it just stirs it up so much. DEQ finally just said to leave it alone. May want to find out about this stretch. C&R may just be phenominal though due to this !!!

I know a guy who fishes the river some, but NEVER takes any to eat because of the above concerns. Seems to me he catches smallies and some pike.

hey guys thank you on the helpful info. I probably won't fish that river again. I have always heard that above the dam is ok and after the dam is contaminated :banghead3
