There's ice on Muskegon Lake. Ice looked "OK" and "maybe safe" at the marina I slip my boat at when I stopped by today. Ice looked "pretty funky" and "unsafe" on the main lake. Didn't see anyone fishing from the south side anywhere.

"Heard" that they're fishing White Lake and Pentwater Lake in spots also. Saw snomobile tracks on Mona Lake.

All of the bait shops in Muskegon were out of pike minnows so maybe that kept anglers off the ice today.

Was in N. Muskegon today and there were guys out on Snug Harbor (Bay Mills). Didn't get any reports about thickness or conditions but I saw them.

Heard that a kid got a nine pound northern out there yesterday on a Slammer Tip-Up.

Conservation Club ice looked BAD and NO ONE was on the ice anywhere from there to Snug Harbor that I saw.

Didn't check the south side.

I was on snug harbor yesterday. I didn't measure but it looked like about 3.5" to 4". very wet on top. with it being close to 50 all night I don't think I'd trust it today. I got a bunch of small gills. No flags. Guy at bait shop said he weighed a pike 14.5 lbs. about noon.
