Irish Hills Evans Lake 12/26 fish report

Daughter and I fished here 12/26. Ice was shaky at best. 2" typical with slush on top. Some open holes. We followed a fellow fisherman tracks and spud checked every few feet. No hits in 2 hours. Talked to two others with same results. Went to Wamplers St. Park and talked to one fellow coming off. Very slow-he caught 1 dink gill. As long as the ice firms up somemore I will feel more comfortable making larger moves around the lakes.

Had anywhere from 5-8" in front of Jerry's Pub off of Egan HWY on Sunday @ Wamplers...Plenty of ice out there

I was out in the Irish Hills area and there was snowmobiles running all over Wamplers. No one was out at the launch at Devils but quite a few on the west side of the lake. Didn't see anyone out on Vinyard or Evans. 2 people at Sand.

Bait store in Clinton was all out of wax worms and had very few minnows.
Knutsons had bait and was busy the whole time I was there
